Happy Valentine's Day

A couple of years ago I looked out my second floor window and saw these tire tracks in the snow. My husband's car had left them in the snow!
I sent it out as a Valentine greeting and heard from many that they thought it was manipulated somehow. This is absolutely the way the tire tracks formed and I think it is amazing.
I love when nature hands us something unique and I look for wonderful and beautiful things each day.

Hope you have a SWEET Valentine's Day!

Where did January go?!?!?

This year started out with bitter cold and snow!

I'm not much for winter sports but I do enjoy taking my camera out to capture the beauty of Winter. It's been a challenge to do that this year with wind chills below zero and blowing snow.

I am lucky to be able to watch the snow clouds moving down Lake Ontario. I enjoy seeing the changes out on the water and there is always something beautiful to see.

I spent most of January preparing for the upcoming busy season and learning new techniques. I don't mind hibernating when there is so much to do inside. It makes the time go fast!

Holiday Time

At our house, the Christmas tree is one of the traditions we enjoy the most. We have always gone out to the tree farm to choose and cut our tree. We make a whole day of taking out the ornaments, and looking through each one, remembering when and where we obtained it.
The lights go on first, then the garland and finally everyone gets to put their favorite ornaments on the tree. 2008 was no different.

Here is our beautiful tree!
